Nazaré Ceramic Panel

A ceramic panel by the Portuguese artist Mário Reis is part of the artistic heritage of the lower station of the Funicular.

With perfectly fabulous details, the panel is the artist's perspective of the village.

The sun-dried fish, the seagulls, the big waves, the surf, the headland, the Fort of S. Miguel (lighthouse), among other aspects, show some perspectives of the local culture.

With 20m2, the work consists of 2,000 pieces, among tiles and other ceramic pieces.

The process of conception of this work was totally handmade, from the execution of the tiles to all the elements, such as painting.
