Largo de Nossa Senhora da Nazaré
It is located opposite to the Sanctuary, thus creating a relationship between the town, the Shrine and the Royal Palace. The Bandstand was commissioned by the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Nazaré to Francisco da Silva Castro, in 1897.
It is made up of masonry and stonework base and the rest in cast iron, coming from the Foundry Alliança of Massarelos, from Porto.
It is a good example of this kind of civil and iron architecture in the region.
Since its opening and until the 70s, the Bandstand received numerous music bands during the Celebrations of Our Lady of Nazaré.
On September 8, 1997 was celebrated the centenary of this property, and thereafter the space was used again for cultural events.
