National Day of Historic Centers

This is a Guided Tour through historic streets, organized to mark the National Day of Historic Centers, celebrated on March 28th – a date that coincides with the birth of Alexandre Herculano, patron of this event.

Officially established on March 28, 1993, the National Day of Portuguese Historic Centers was quickly embraced by most local authorities with historic centers in the country. During this day, several Portuguese cities promote activities to celebrate the date.
