It is one of the most enigmatic jewels of Nazaré, called the Church of São Gião, and is located in Quinta de São Gião (Famalicão – Nazaré).
Classified as a National Monument since 1986, this temple is considered one of the oldest in Portugal, with traces of human occupation dating back to the Roman period, later reused by the Visigoths (7th century), and still exhibiting Asturian influences (10th century).
