Praia do Sul, Nazaré
Praia do Sul is located between the southern pier of the Fishing Harbour and the mouth of the Alcoa River. The access is conditioned, and the entrance is made through the Fishing Harbour (paid entrance), being the beach reached through a dirt road.
Given the sea conditions and the good waves, Praia do Sul is very popular with surfers and body boarders, often holding National Championships of these modalities here, when the sea conditions on other beaches (in Vila or do North), do not allow it.
Without surveillance and without any kind of concession or bathing support, this beautiful beach of sand and dunes is very popular, during the bathing season, among those who seek peace and contact with nature.
For those who enjoy walking in contact with nature, here, in the area of Duna Primaria, you can observe species such as the Armeria pungens, the sea thistle (Eryngium maritimum) and the Weeping Willow (Carpobrotus edulis) which is an exotic species.
